The campus of University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Muscat is the second largest higher education institution in Oman catering for more than 13,000 students studying in various programs.
On 12th August 2020, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik issued Royal Decree No. 76/2020, According to that A government university named the “University of Technology and Applied Sciences” (UTAS) was established. All existing Colleges of Technology under Ministry of Manpower and Colleges of Applied Sciences merged under this university.
